Lloydminster RCMP have charged a former manager of the Lloydminster Housing Authority (Saskatchewan side Housing Authority) with fraud and theft following a months-long investigation into financial irregularities at the non-profit.

Lori Neufeld, 49, of Marsden, Sask., faces the following charges:

  • Fraud Over $5,000
  • Theft Over $5,000

RCMP began the investigation in January 2026 after reports of financial irregularities at the organization. Investigators determined that approximately $10,000 worth of fuel had been obtained for personal use through unauthorized use of organizational resources, and that approximately $6,000 worth of flooring materials had been stolen.

Lloydminster RCMP executed a search warrant at a property in Marsden with assistance from the Saskatchewan Crime Reduction Team. Officers recovered 31 of 52 boxes of stolen flooring during the search.

Neufeld was served with a summons and is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Aug. 17, 2026.

The Lloydminster Housing Authority is a non-profit organization that provides affordable housing to low-income residents in the community. Officials with Lloydminster RCMP noted that crimes involving the misappropriation of resources from organizations serving vulnerable people can have a significant impact on the services available to those who rely on them.

Neufeld is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
