A 49-year-old Lloydminster man is facing multiple charges after Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster Trafficking and Response Team (STRT) executed a search warrant at a city residence on September 9.

Officers seized approximately 41 grams of cocaine, 19 grams of methamphetamine, two firearms, ammunition, and drug trafficking paraphernalia during the search, which was part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. RCMP’s National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST) assisted.

Brett Zilliges, 49, of Lloydminster, SK, was arrested at the scene and is charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking — cocaine
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking — methamphetamine
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
  • Careless use of a firearm

Zilliges is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on November 5.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
