A man who remained at large for weeks following a multi-agency manhunt near Onion Lake has been arrested and released on conditions. Aaron Chief, 44, of Onion Lake, appeared in Lloydminster Provincial Court on June 10 and was released on conditions, according to a report by SaskToday. Chief had been wanted since May 17, when Onion Lake RCMP tried to pull over a speeding vehicle at about 5:10 p.m. The driver refused to stop. The vehicle came to a stop near Frenchman Butte. Reward offered after vehicle goes through fence at Lloyd Ex

RCMP are searching for a vehicle and driver after significant damage was done to the Lloydminster Exhibition grounds in the early hours of Saturday morning. Cpl. Mat Howell, public information officer with RCMP “K” Division, said police received a report at 12:19 a.m. June 13 describing an incident that had already taken place. Officers conducted extensive patrols in the area but were unable to locate the truck involved. They are looking for a dark-coloured dodge pickup truck. Multiple warrants executed in North Battleford area

Saskatchewan RCMP made four arrests in the Battlefords area between June 1 and June 4 after a specialized warrant enforcement team moved in to help local officers track down wanted individuals. The Saskatoon-based Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team – known as WEST – worked alongside Battlefords RCMP, the North Battleford Crime Reduction Team and the Serious Violent Offender Response team during the operation. Multiple Lloydminster RCMP units surround home in midday operation

Lloydminster RCMP executed a search warrant on a home in the 4700 block of 26 St. at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Multiple units responded to the scene, including marked cruisers, plain-clothes officers and the K9 unit. Officers on scene confirmed the search warrant to BorderPulse but said they could not release information on whether anyone had been arrested during the operation. Sask. seeding reaches 93%, still trails five-year average

Farmers in the Lloydminster region are nearly done seeding. The northwest region, which includes the border area, hit 95 per cent seeding completion this week, up from 86 per cent. Two injured after 44 St. Collision

A three-vehicle collision near 44 Street and 80 Avenue sent two people to hospital June 8, with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident happened at approximately 4:35 p.m. . It involved a white Ford Super Duty pickup truck, an SUV, and another vehicle in the eastbound lanes. Lloydminster Fire Rescue and multiple EMS units responded alongside RCMP. Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 16-year-old girl from Little Pine First Nation. Taliyah Kakum, who also goes by the name Tanya, was reported missing June 10.
