Video: Truck destroyed by fire in Lloydminster

On June 19, at approximately 11:10 p.m. Lloydminster Fire Rescue was on scene of a truck fire in the area of 2600 48 Ave..

According to the owner of the vehicle, they went through 5 fire extinguishers trying to put it out in the driveway.

We were diagnosing a misfire on cylinder 7, a pop happened and then fire broke out.” said Dan in a phone interview. “I jumped in tow truck, and pulled it into the roadway where firefighters attended too it after trying to put it out.”

He said the fire had started near some other vehicles, of which a few were moved before they took the truck on to the roadway.

Firefighters quickly brought the incident under control. There is no word on the cause or a damage estimate at this time.
