Shortly after 8 a.m. Aug 16, Lloydminster Fire Rescue were observed responding to Glenwood Village in the central part of Lloydminster.
Upon arrival, after speaking with some witnesses, we learned fire had broken out near the south side of the property behind some sea cans.
Heavy smoke was coming from the area before firefighters worked quickly to bring the small area of flames under control. There is no word on what caused the small grass fire and it took about 15 minutes to put it out completely.
Firefighters worked with rakes and deployed a white film to make sure they area would not reignite.
Crews remained on scene according to witnesses for approximately 30 minutes.
