Lloydminster city council meets today at 1:30 p.m. in council chambers for its regular meeting.
The main item on the agenda is a grant application for the Vic Juba Community Theatre. Administration is asking council to direct staff to apply to the Community Facility Enhancement Program for design work on a new roof and HVAC system at the theatre.
If the grant is approved, $45,000 from the Leisure Services Capital Reserve will be committed, to match provincial funding. The application deadline is Sept. 15.
They will also review updated terms of reference for the Downtown Area Redevelopment Committee, including changes to seat limits and attendance rules.
In a separate item, members are set to approve two-year appointments to the Lloydminster Public Library Board. Karuna Russell and Akshay Naik would serve terms ending Sept. 7, 2028.
