RCMP have charged a 65-year-old Lloydminster man after a two-vehicle collision on 44 St. Sept. 14.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes near 57 Ave. A commercial motor vehicle collided with a Kia.
Investigators determined the man made an illegal lane change, leading to the collision.
The Kia sustained heavy damage. Its driver was initially trapped inside.
Lloydminster Fire Rescue crews freed the driver a short time later.
EMS and multiple RCMP officers responded, along with community peace officers.

Crews reduced the roadway to one lane while police investigated.
The man faces a charge in connection with the crash. He has not been convicted, and a charge is not proof of guilt.
