A police dog helped Saskatchewan RCMP track suspects after an Onion Lake ATV theft on Oct. 22 that police say involved pointed firearms.
Four people were arrested. A fifth suspect, 23-year-old Lennox Littlewolfe, is on the run and known to frequent Lloydminster.
Onion Lake RCMP responded to a stolen ATV report around 5:30 p.m., Saskatchewan RCMP said in a news release. The suspects also pointed firearms when confronted, police said.
Officers patrolling the area found the ATV abandoned. A short time later, they found people matching the suspect descriptions in a grey car.
Officers tried to stop the car, but it fled. Police used a tire deflation device, and the car drove over it. The suspects then ran from the vehicle.
RCMP Police Dog Services tracked the suspects to a residence. A man was found hiding in the bushes and arrested, police said.
He needed treatment for injuries linked to the dog-assisted arrest. He was later released on an undertaking.
The police dog team and officers then found three more people inside a residence on Onion Lake First Nation. All three were arrested, and one was released without charge.
A search of the car turned up cocaine, ammunition and evidence of drug trafficking, RCMP said.

Landon Montana, 19, of Onion Lake, is charged with obstructing a peace officer, flight from a peace officer and failing to comply with probation. He was released on an undertaking and is to appear in Onion Lake Provincial Court on Dec. 2.
