Three men are dead and a woman has been charged after a shooting northwest of Turtleford on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 5, Turtleford RCMP responded to a report of three injured people at a rural property. Officers arrived to find three adult males suffering from gunshot wounds and began lifesaving efforts, but all three were declared deceased by EMS.
An adult woman was arrested in Turtleford the same day.
RCMP have charged 25-year-old Madison Paddy-Jimmy from Thunderchild First Nation with one count of second-degree murder in connection with the death of 28-year-old Tonio Cantell of Island Lake First Nation. Paddy-Jimmy is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Nov. 7, 2025.
Police confirmed the other two victims include a 46-year-old man from Turtleford and another man whose identity is being confirmed with help from the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
RCMP say no additional suspects or victims are believed to be involved. Multiple firearms were seized from the property.
“The victims’ next of kin have been notified and Victim Services have been offered to them,” RCMP said in a statement.
The investigation is ongoing with support from RCMP’s North Battleford and Saskatoon Forensic Identification Sections, the North Battleford General Investigation Section, Turtleford Detachment, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
