Police seek suspect after assault with wine bottle

Lloydminster RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect, after a woman was assaulted while trying to stop a shoplifter.

Police say the incident happened *Nov. 20, 2025, when a woman attempted to intervene as a suspect tried to leave a local business with stolen merchandise. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly struck the woman in the face with a wine bottle before fleeing the store.

Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspect at the time.

As part of the investigation, RCMP obtained CCTV footage and released images of a person they believe may be involved.

Police have not released details about the extent of the victim’s injuries.
