A Lloydminster resident turned to the community for help after a hit and run damaged their truck overnight – and within three hours, the community delivered.

The incident occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 6:10 a.m. Saturday in the 5400 block of 35 Street. The truck owner posted publicly in various Lloydminster Facebook groups, sharing evidence that pointed to a Chevrolet Equinox as the suspect vehicle.

A community member responded with a Facebook message identifying the vehicle’s location. The owner then passed that information to RCMP.

According to the truck owner, the RCMP towed on June 1. They are extremely grateful for the publics assistance in locating the car.
