A Lloydminster committee meets Monday to hear plans to replace the oldest wing of Pioneer Lodge.
The Lloydminster Region Housing Group wants to swap the aging rooms for new ones. It is asking its municipal partners, including the city, to commit funding at the Lodge.
The Governance and Priorities Committee starts at 1:30 p.m. in council chambers.
City administration is also looking at changes to downtown parking lots, including the future of the temporary parklet. Councillors will get a review of the Cenovus Energy Hub’s first year, covering use, events and operations.
Other items include an update on the condition of city infrastructure and a report on policy and bylaw reviews. That report lists new documents headed to council, including an Animal Control Bylaw. Staff will also present a draft 2027 meeting schedule.
The committee hears reports and gathers information. Decisions typically come later at regular council meetings.
Residents can watch the livestream at Lloydminster.ca/Agenda. BorderPulse will have full coverage after the meeting.
