Lloydminster RCMP have ended their heavy police presence in the area of 49 Ave. and 32 St. Multiple officers could be seen surrounding a home in the area during the morning of Nov. 19. At least one individual was placed in handcuffs and loaded into the back of a police vehicle.
An officer on scene stated the incident has been resolved, however, residents can expect a higher than normal police presence in the area.
Alberta RCMP “K” Division Public Information Officer Mat Howell provided few other details. However the incident is in relation to an ongoing theft and assault file.
He did expect more information to be provided.
