Lloydminster Fire Rescue officials are crediting staff at Blowers and Grafton with making the right decision this afternoon, which required them to attend.
“It looks like a HVAC unit on the roof started smoking, it filled the restraunt with smoke,” stated LFR Chief Bill Heesing. “The staff made the right decision in evacuating the customers and calling us.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. today ( July 14 ) at the location on the city’s west end. Multiple fire crews were on scene and could be seen using a fan to clear the restaurant. Other firefighters were observed on the roof and at the back of the building.





The back door of the next door Popeye’s was also propped open with emergency personnel coming in and out.
Lloydminster Community Peace Officers helped with traffic control in the area. The incident was resolved within the hour.
