A two-vehicle collision in Lloydminster June 4, ended with an 18-year-old driver in custody and now facing charges.

Kayden Crane, 18, of Lloydminster has been identified as the driver of the black vehicle. He faces charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failure to comply with an undertaking. He was known to police for prior driving-related offences.

Lloydminster RCMP, Lloydminster Fire and Rescue, and EMS responded to the intersection of 62 Avenue and 43 Street at approximately 8:52 p.m. on June 4.

A witness at the scene reported a black sedan travelling at high speed southbound on 62 Avenue before the collision. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

No one was trapped. At least two people were assessed by EMS at the scene. No one was transported.

Crane was released from custody on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court June 23, 2026.
