Lloydminster RCMP have arrested a Calgary woman in connection with a significant ATM cash theft that occurred in late 2024.
Police say the break and enter happened around 10 a.m. on Dec. 29, 2024, at an ATM located near 39 Avenue and 50 Street in Lloydminster. Investigators determined suspects gained entry into the ATM and stole more than $130,000 in cash. Damage and replacement costs for the machine were nearly $30,000.
RCMP say the investigation involved canvassing local businesses for video surveillance and completing numerous judicial authorizations. Those efforts led police to identify a female suspect.
With assistance from the Calgary Fugitive Apprehension Team, Mandy Breadlaw, 40, of Calgary, was located and arrested on 26 outstanding warrants. Breadlaw remains in custody and appeared in Alberta Court of Justice in Wainwright on Jan. 15, 2026.
She is charged with break and enter, mischief over $5,000, and theft over $5,000.
“This investigation required a significant commitment of resources and strong collaboration between multiple policing partners,” said Sgt. Christopher Byford, Lloydminster RCMP. “The assistance of local businesses and law enforcement partners was critical in identifying and locating the suspect, which helped to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion.”
Lloydminster RCMP thanked local businesses for providing surveillance footage, as well as the Calgary Police Service and RCMP Southern Alberta General Investigation Section for their assistance.
