RCMP have released new details after a serious collision north of Sandy Beach on Sunday night.
On November 30, 2025, around 8 p.m., RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 17. Officers responded along with EMS and Lloydminster Rescue Squad. RCMP F Division clarified Monday the file was handled by Maidstone RCMP.

Three people were taken to hospital. RCMP said two suffered serious injuries, while the third had non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators determined the vehicle had collided with a moose. Rescue Squad members helped remove the occupants from the vehicle and assisted paramedics in providing medical care.
The investigation is ongoing.
