A 37-year-old Tofield man is facing drug trafficking charges after Alberta sheriffs and RCMP concluded a joint investigation by executing a search warrant at a local residence.

The Alberta Community Response Team, assisted by the Alberta Sheriffs Safe Community and Neighbourhoods unit, executed a search warrant May 6 at a home in the area of 52A Street in Tofield. Officers arrested Dustin Allan, 37, and a 25-year-old woman, both residents of Tofield.

Police seized cocaine and Canadian currency during the search.

Allan faces charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. He was released on conditions following a appearance before a justice of the peace and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Vegreville on May 25.

The 25-year-old woman was arrested on outstanding warrants from Edmonton Police Service and remains before the courts.
