Lloydminster RCMP is investigating a string of vandalism connected to a social media trend spreading through the city.

For just over a week, someone has been defacing signs and buildings across the community. The person then posts photos to TikTok and challenges followers to find each mark in person.

Staff Sgt. Bruce MacLean, Lloydminster RCMP‘s operations non-commissioned officer, confirmed police are aware of the person behind the posts.

“I can confirm we have already received a complaint regarding this,” said MacLean. “It is under investigation.”

MacLean released no further details, including how many locations were affected or whether investigators identified a suspect. However, the page of the individual is showing upwards of ten places hit so far.

If you have any information regarding the incidents, call crime stoppers or the local detachment.
