Onion Lake RCMP responded to reports of a motor-vehicle collision involving a horse at approximately 12:05 a.m. July 8.
Onion Lake Fire Department called in the incident to the police shortly before that.
The RCMP press release reads as follows.
“The vehicle and its occupant(s) did not remain on the scene. They have not been located at this time,” stated media relations. “Local animal control responded to provide care for the horse. We do not have any further updates on the horse.”
