A 17-year-old Lloydminster resident was ticketed for an unsafe left turn after a two-vehicle collision on the city’s Saskatchewan side Thursday morning.
Emergency services responded to the collision at the intersection of 44 Street and 45 Avenue around 8:15 a.m.
According to RCMP “K” Division Public Information Officer Mat Howell, a westbound Ford Escape collided with a southbound GMC Sierra on 45 Avenue.
No serious injuries were reported. The vehicles did block the intersection for a time being and debris was visible on the roadway.
Witnesses said traffic slowed through the area while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
The ticket carries a fine of over $200 and up to three demerit points if convicted.
