Lloydminster RCMP say two local residents are facing drug trafficking charges after officers executed a search warrant on a hotel room as part of an ongoing investigation.

Lloydminster RCMP say two people have been charged following a drug investigation that led officers to a hotel room in the city.

Police say members of the Lloydminster Crime Reduction Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Dec. 17 as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

During the search, officers seized cocaine, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation, 53-year-old Curtis Martineau and 35-year-old Kailey Marshall, both of Lloydminster, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Both accused were brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Jan. 13, 2026.

“This search warrant is part of our continued commitment to targeting drug trafficking and associated criminal activity in our community,” said Cpl. Jason DeCoste of the Lloydminster Crime Reduction Unit.

“We will continue to proactively investigate these crimes and ask that any member of the public who has information on criminal activity please contact the Lloydminster RCMP.”

Police are asking residents to report suspected criminal activity, including drug trafficking, in their neighbourhoods.
