Saskatchewan conservation officers are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information after finding piles of wasted fish along the North Saskatchewan River near Lloydminster.
Officers received a Turn in Poachers call Aug. 13, 2026, reporting two piles of dumped fish near the old ferry crossing north of Lloydminster, Sask.
They found 17 suckers and four walleye, one of which exceeded the legal size limit. Wasting game fish or disposing of it improperly is against the law in Saskatchewan. Officers believe the fish were dumped one to two days before they were found.
Conservation officers collected evidence at the scene and are asking the public for help identifying who is responsible.
Anyone with information can call the Turn in Poachers and Polluters line at 1-800-667-7561 or report online at saskatchewan.ca/TIPP. Callers do not have to give their name, and calls are not traced or recorded.
Tips that lead to an arrest or conviction may be eligible for a cash reward through the SaskTIP program.
The investigation remains open.
