There is no threat to public safety after a body was found behind the Shell gas station on 50 Avenue around 4 p.m. Sept. 9, Lloydminster RCMP say.
S/Sgt. Bruce MacLean confirmed additional details about the previous day’s events in an e-mail to The Border Pulse.
“There is no threat to public safety. The death has been deemed not suspicious,” said MacLean. “The investigation is ongoing. We are awaiting autopsy results.”
A passerby had alerted The Border Pulse to a heavy police presence at the business shortly before 4 p.m. Multiple RCMP officers, Community Peace Officers and paramedics responded to the scene.
The business remained open throughout the response.
The Border Pulse has learned it was a male who was located deceased, although that detail was not confirmed by police.
