Conservation officers in the Lloydminster area are asking for the public’s help after wire, rubber and a collection of personal belongings turned up at two separate illegal dump sites near the city this spring.

The more recent find came April 29, when officers were alerted to unlawful dumping along Township Road 512 in the Rural Municipality of Britannia, northeast of Lloydminster. At the scene, officers found remnants of a small fire, along with wire and rubber material discarded in the south ditch.

Evidence was collected of a small fire and the remnant’s of rubber and wire casing. No suspects have been identified.

Nine days earlier, on April 20, Lloydminster Conservation Officers came across a separate pile of illegally dumped material along grid road 797, north of Harlan, Sask.

That scene included men’s clothing in sizes XL and XXL, women’s clothing, two medium-sized duffle bags, toiletries and other household garbage. Among the items, officers found an Onion Lake Minor Hockey Association medal from the 2014-15 season and an article bearing the name Jaron.

Conservation officers collected evidence at that scene as well but are still seeking the person or persons responsible.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call the Turn In Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) line at 1-800-667-7561 or report online at saskatchewan.ca/TIPP. Callers can remain anonymous. Calls are not traced or recorded.

Cash rewards of up to $2,000 are available through the SaskTIP Reward Program for tips that lead to an arrest or conviction.
