A pedestrian was taken to hospital with major, non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a train During the night of Aug. 22 near 50 Avenue and 52 Street.
RCMP confirmed the collision happened around 10:15 p.m.
Mounties Public Information Officer Mat Howell provided the following details.
Officers responded to assist at the scene after CN Rail contacted RCMP to investigate. They determined the train had been shunting at the time of the collision. Members attended the yard and located the injured female.
Medavie paramedics and Lloydminster Fire Rescue attended to the victim approximately 300 metres west of the collision site.
The pedestrian was transported to Lloydminster Hospital with injuries described as “serious, non-life-threatening.”

“Any questions about this incident should be directed to the Lloydminster Police Department as they are the lead investigative agency.”
Lloydminster is policed by a single RCMP detachment. There is no Lloydminster Police Department.
