Two Lloydminster RCMP members received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Eastern Alberta District Commander in August for proactive policing work.
Const. Derek Rohatynski identified vehicles transporting illegal products through Lloydminster between November 2025 and February 2026. The seizures totalled more than $16 million.
Const. Cedric Colimon was recognized for proactive traffic enforcement. He ranks in the Top 10 RCMP members in the Northwest Region, which covers Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, for removing impaired drivers from the road.
Detachment leadership responds
S/Sgt. Bruce MacLean, Operations NCO with the detachement, said the recognition reflects a broader pattern of proactive work across the detachment.
“Work such as this is recognized and is only a portion of the proactive policing done by your Lloydminster RCMP,” said MacLean.
MacLean said large-scale seizures disrupt organized crime networks operating through the city, and every impaired driver stopped is a potential tragedy avoided.
“I could not be prouder of the proactive work done by these members and all the members of our detachment,” said MacLean.
Lloydminster RCMP is a single K Division detachment policing both the Alberta and Saskatchewan sides of the city.
