At approximately 8:30 a.m., readers alerted us to a collision between a car and a transport in the eastbound lanes of Highway 16, between Range Road 14 and 13. They stated firetrucks and RCMP were on scene and arriving.

Video and photos submitted by a reader showed a small four door sedan wedged under the rear of a transport truck, airbags did deploy.
The vehicles were able to move to the side of the roadway, so traffic was only slowed in the area.
There is no word on according to Protective Services for County of Vermilion River, one person was transported in stable condition.

We have reached out to RCMP and will provide more details when available.
