Five flee east end collision after suspect vehicle rams car

Lloydminster RCMP are investigating after five people fled on foot following a collision in the city’s east end Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of 45 Avenue and 47 Street at approximately 1:35 p.m. on Feb. 13 after a vehicle reportedly failed to stop.

According to information provided to The Border Pulse by a Public Information Officer, a suspect SUV accelerated and intentionally struck another vehicle before driving away from the scene.

The suspect vehicle later pulled over nearby. Five individuals then exited the SUV and ran from the area on foot.

No major injuries were reported. However, the driver’s side door of the struck vehicle was rendered inoperable due to the collision.

Both vehicles involved were towed from the scene.

As of publication, all five suspects remain outstanding. The investigation is ongoing.
