Lloydminster RCMP CRT makes large drug bust

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster Crime Reduction Team charged an adult male after a drug trafficking investigation led to two search warrants in the city.

On November 26, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Lloydminster CRT searched a home and vehicle on 56 Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation. Officers located approximately 320 grams of cocaine, 500 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, ammunition, a conducted energy weapon, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a sum of cash. An adult male was arrested at the scene.

Later that day, Lloydminster CRT executed a second warrant at a residence on 41 Street. A male was arrested at that location and later released without charge.

As a result of continued investigation, 31-year-old Brandon Ryall of Elk Point is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine, along with multiple firearms and weapons offences.

Ryall is charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code:

• Possession for the purpose of trafficking, cocaine

• Possession for the purpose of trafficking, methamphetamine

• Careless use of a firearm, three counts

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts

• Unauthorized possession of a firearm

• Possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized

• Possession of a restricted firearm or prohibited weapon with ammunition without a licence or registration

• Weapons possession contrary to order, three counts

• Fail to comply with release order condition, three counts

• Operation while prohibited

• Possession of property obtained by crime over five thousand dollars

Ryall appeared in Vegreville Provincial Court on December 1 (Information 251073698P1).

Officers with STRT, North Battleford CRT, Police Dog Services, ALERT, Lloydminster RCMP and NWEST assisted with the investigation.

Lloydminster CRT continue to investigate.
