Lloydminster RCMP have concluded their investigation into online allegations of unprofessional conduct by a teacher in the Lloydminster Catholic School Division, finding no criminal offence occurred.
Police said all individuals directly involved in the matter have been identified and took part in the investigation.
RCMP acknowledged the allegations were first shared on social media and said they were taken seriously.
“As a result of a thorough investigation, police have determined that no criminal offence has occurred,” S/Sgt. Bruce MacLean said.
Police also said they were advised the non-criminal events in question were addressed by LCSD at the time they occurred.
Police confirmed the investigation into this matter is now closed.
No individual has been named or charged in connection with the allegations.
The Lloydminster Catholic School Division released the following statement in response to the RCMP findings.
“Lloydminster Catholic School Division would like to acknowledge the RCMP statement regarding the investigation of the social media allegations and subsequent finding of no criminal activity. Lloydminster Catholic School Division will continue to collaborate with the RCMP if any further information comes to light. Our priority is providing a safe, supportive learning environment.
