A 37-year-old Lloydminster woman is facing an impaired driving charge after a three-vehicle collision Saturday night.
RCMP say the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. Aug. 22. Lloydminster Fire Rescue and EMS were also in attendance for the call.
The woman was driving a Nissan Sentra when it collided with an SUV and a pickup truck, RCMP said. The pick-up truck and her vehicle were significantly damaged.
She was arrested at the scene and later released on an appearance notice.
She is charged with operation while impaired, contrary to Section 320.14 of the Criminal Code.
RCMP said the woman admitted to drinking and driving and using her phone before the collision.
She was taken to hospital to have blood drawn and is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court Nov. 9.
The charge has not been proven in court. According to Canadian Law she can not be named until she makes her first court appearance.
