Cold Lake RCMP arrested three people and seized drugs and a loaded handgun after a stolen vehicle report led investigators to a commercial parking lot Sunday night.
Officers located the stolen vehicle at a business in Cold Lake South at approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 4. After identifying occupants connected to the vehicle, police made arrests and searched both the people and the ch vehicle.
That search turned up approximately 100 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 200 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a loaded handgun, and other items consistent with drug trafficking, according to RCMP.
All three accused are residents of Big Island, Sask.
Charges:
Lori Crookedneck, 35, faces six charges:
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of a controlled substance
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
• Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Conroy Keesaynew, 47, faces five charges:
• Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
• Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
• Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• Possession of a controlled substance
Tyrone Sandfly, 39, faces three charges:
• Possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition
• Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
• Possession of a controlled substance
Crookedneck and Keesaynew were remanded into custody following appearances before a Justice of the Peace. Both are scheduled to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on May 7.
Sandfly was released from custody and is set to appear before the same court on June 17.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
