At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 30, RCMP and EMS were dispatched to a home in Onion Lake.
Details are thin about the incident, however, Communications personnel were able to provide the following information as well as a reason for keeping details quiet.
“On August 30 at about 11:30 a.m., Onion Lake RCMP received a report of a sexual assault on Onion Lake Cree Nation,” stated “F” division media relations. “To be mindful of the privacy and well-being of the victim, we are not providing additional details. The incident remains under investigation. No charges have been laid at this time.”
