Britannia Fire responded to a vehicle fire just after 12:27 p.m. on Thursday.
Eight firefighters arrived on scene with Command 1, Tanker 1, and Pumper 2. The vehicle was found down a hill in a grassy area, prompting crews to deploy a long hose line from Pumper 2.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and ensured the area was safe.
Police officers attended the scene and Merit Towing assisted with recovery.
All units returned to the hall and were back in service shortly after.
Residents are reminded that the fire hall is not staffed around the clock. Anyone needing emergency assistance must call 9-1-1 so dispatch can send responders.
