At approximately 11:30 a.m. this morning ( July 11) emergency responders were dispatched to the north end of Lloydminster for reports of a collision.
Upon arrival at Tate’s Liquor Store in the 5700 block of 50 Ave. they located a car which had collided with a structure.
Officials on scene stated a car had run into the bollards which protect the front door of the store. The vehicle suffered significant damage to the passenger side.
The driver of the vehicle was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, first by firefighters from Lloydminster Fire Rescue, then by EMS upon it’s arrival approximately 30 minutes after the incident occurred.
The incident remains under investigation. Central Towing arrived to remove the vehicle. The roadway around the store was slowed for approximately an hour. The store was never closed at any time during the incident.
