The City of Lloydminster is bringing back Winterfest on Monday, Feb. 16.

The annual Family Day tradition runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at multiple facilities across the city, offering free indoor and outdoor activities for all ages.

Admission is free, though schedules vary by location.

Winterfest 2026 is presented by L&A CPA LLP.


Servus Sports Centre โ€“ 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Activities at Servus Sports Centre include:

  • Family Puck and Stick from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for families with children 12 and younger
  • Indoor shinny from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Public skating on Holmes Arena and Leisure Ice
  • Sparkle tattoos
  • Guardian Fun Zone bounce units and a new space maze laser tag
  • A new 360-degree photo booth
  • Live musical entertainment featuring the Tim and Sheila Ernestine Hatpin Show and the Prairie Dogs
  • Carnival games, a mechanical bull and pedal go-carts
  • Craft and colouring activities

Hot refreshments will be available, sponsored by L&A CPA LLP and Tim Hortons.


Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre โ€“ 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Families can enjoy curling with members of the Lloydminster Curling Club at the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre.

Participants are asked to bring indoor shoes, as outdoor footwear is not permitted on the ice. Sign up upon arrival.

A craft will be available in the Peter Cushner Room, along with hot refreshments.


Lloydminster Museum + Archives โ€“ 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Lloydminster Museum + Archives will offer free admission, sponsored by Manitoulin Transport.

Visitors can explore heritage demonstrations, take part in a craft in the Art Studio and view the Edwardian Era in the West exhibit and permanent gallery.


Bioclean Aquatic Centre โ€“ 12 to 3 p.m.

The Bioclean Aquatic Centre will host free public swimming from 12 to 3 p.m., sponsored by Canadian Natural.


Bud Miller All Seasons Park โ€“ 12 to 3 p.m.

At Bud Miller All Seasons Park, families can enjoy:

  • A colouring activity in the Nature Room at the PSM Lawyers Park Centre
  • An outdoor skating party with live entertainment
  • Horse-drawn wagon rides
  • Shinny

Hot refreshments will also be available.


Cenovus Energy Hub โ€“ 1 to 3 p.m.

The Cenovus Energy Hub will host a para hockey try day from 1 to 3 p.m.

Participants are asked to bring a hockey helmet, gloves and warm footwear. Sleds and equipment will be provided.


Winterfest continues to be one of Lloydminsterโ€™s largest Family Day events, encouraging residents to stay active and spend time together across the city.
