A 12-year-old suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after two dirt bikes collided in a grassy field southeast of Winston Churchill School in Lloydminster.
The 12-year-old was taken to hospital following the collision at around 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, said Cpl. Mat Howell, Lloydminster RCMP public information officer.
A 15-year-old riding the second dirt bike was not injured.
“It was a bit of a freak accident,” Howell said.
The two riders were travelling through the area when they ended up in each other’s space, Howell said.
No tickets were issued to either rider.
RCMP have not said whether the collision remains under investigation.
