At approximately 9:50 p.m. Sunday, Lloyd Rescue Squad along with EMS and RCMP were dispatched to a field near Sandy Beach after reports of an injured person in the area.
The original dispatch for the call noted that a ATV had been involved in a incident and one individual was in need of medical attention near Highway 17 and highway 798.
According to officials crews on scene and with the assistance of an RCMP drone operator, located the individual in the field, however did not locate any quad or reason for injury. Lloyd Rescue Squad utilized their side-by-side to retrieve the individual and bring him to waiting EMS personnel.
Saskatchewan RCMP “F” Division communications released the following statement.
“On July 26 around 9:50 p.m., Maidstone RCMP received a report of an injured person in a field in the RM of Brittania. Officers responded and one individual was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature. At this point in the investigation, it’s not believed a quad was involved in this incident. As at this point it appears to be a medical situation that is non-criminal in nature”
