A late-night traffic stop turned into a police pursuit and multiple arrests, with drugs and firearms seized following an investigation by Loon Lake RCMP.

Police say the incident began March 19 at approximately 12:20 a.m., when an officer attempted to stop a vehicle in Loon Lake.

The vehicle, carrying two occupants, fled southbound on Highway 26 before stopping a short time later on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

Officers determined the driver showed signs of impairment and arrested him at the scene.

Weapons, drugs seized

During the investigation, police say they located and seized a small quantity of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a loaded firearm magazine, bear mace and two firearms.

Both the driver and passenger were taken into custody.

Driver facing impaired, flight charges

Police have charged 24-year-old Bradi Mitsuing with:

  • Flight from a peace officer
  • Operation of a conveyance while impaired
  • Operation of a conveyance with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood

He also received multiple traffic-related tickets, including having open alcohol in a vehicle.

Mitsuing was also found to have an outstanding warrant with Lloydminster RCMP.

He is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on May 7, 2026.

Passenger facing multiple weapons charges

The passenger, 23-year-old Keeton Partridge, faces a lengthy list of charges, including:

  • Weapons possession contrary to order (three counts)
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (three counts)
  • Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle (two counts)
  • Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition without a licence
  • Carrying a concealed weapon (two counts)
  • Possession of a firearm knowing it was unauthorized
  • Unsafe storage of a firearm (two counts)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking

Partridge is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on March 23, 2026.

Investigation ongoing

RCMP say the investigation is continuing.

All charges have yet to be proven in court.
