Assault charges against a Lloydminster man arrested following a Walmart parking lot altercation last March have been withdrawn after he agreed to the terms of a court-imposed peace bond.

Joelin Dillon, 34, faced three counts of assault under the Criminal Code after RCMP alleged he and two others confronted and shoved three women, including a youth, in the 4200 block of 70 Ave. on March 30, 2026.

Court records show all three assault charges were withdrawn May 26, 2026.

In place of those charges, Dillon entered into a peace bond under s. 810(1) of the Criminal Code. The order runs 12 months from May 26, 2026, and is secured by a $1,100 bond. A peace bond is a court order requiring a person to keep the peace and abide by set conditions. It does not constitute a finding of guilt or a criminal conviction.

RCMP confirmed the charges against the other two people arrested in connection with the incident, including a youth, were not pursued. The file has been closed.

BorderPulse reported on the original incident on March 31, 2026.
