Officials have confirmed to The Border Pulse that Costco in Lloydminster will be opening in the second or third week of *Nov.
Management at the new warehouse spoke with us at a pop-up membership location on the city’s west side.
He confirmed, unless something drastic happens in construction the plan is to open in November.
He also confirmed they have met with various officials across the city as well as non-profit organizations. It is very important to them to give back to the communities they are a part of.
He noted a recent death of a child in Medicine Hat had the store donate supplies for a gathering in support of the family as one example. They also stated that the food bank in Medicine Hat is well stocked by Costco donations.
Employees from across the country have applied to work in the new warehouse internally, however, they expect to hire between 100-150 people from the area. They expect that process to happen sometime around September.
The officials also confirmed the gas bar will have diesel, gas and propane.
