A motorcycle rider has been sent to hospital in non-life-threatening condition according to LloydminsterRCMP after a collision June 23.
Reports of the collision came into the Border Pulse around 4:55 p.m., a witness said multiple emergency vehicles, including two ambulances were on scene. The incident happened at 55 Ave. and 45 Street.
S/Sgt. Bruce MacLean provided the following statement by e-mail about the incident.
“(The) Motorcycle operator was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries andthe driver of the car was charged under the provincial traffic act for failing to stop at the stop sign,” said MacLean.
“With motorcycles and pedestrian traffic more prevalent in the good weather, the public is reminded to come to full stops at stop signs as per the law and ensure the intersection is safe before proceeding.”
