The City of Lloydminster wants residents to help decide the future of the Lloydminster Regional Archives.

A public survey is open until Monday, Oct. 12, at 11:59 p.m. Responses will help shape a service plan meant to guide the Archives for the next 20 years.

The Archives preserves records, stories and experiences documenting the history of Lloydminster and the surrounding region. The city took over ownership and operations in 2020 from the Lloydminster and District Centennial Commemorative Association.

The survey is part of a broader round of public consultation and stakeholder engagement. The city said it is exploring how archival services can stay sustainable and accessible as the collection grows and community needs change.

Participants are asked about their satisfaction with current services, their priorities for the future and how they would like to access archival records. The survey also asks which subject areas should be prioritized.

Residents can complete the survey online at YourVoiceLloyd.ca/Archives. Paper copies are available at City Hall, 4420 50 Ave., and Lloydminster Museum + Archives, 4207 44 St.

All responses are due by 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 12.

Feedback from the survey will help guide the future direction of archival services in Lloydminster.
