Lloydminster is easing into the Christmas/holiday season with a mix of markets, music, cookies and carols. Whether you’re looking to shop local or get an early taste of Christmas spirit, there are several festive options across the city and nearby communities.
The biggest draw is the 37th annual Christmas Craft Fair and Chamber Expo, running all weekend at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds. With more than 350 vendors, handmade gifts and a full food court, it’s one of the region’s largest holiday markets.
On Saturday, families can head to the Gold Horse Casino for Cookies and Carols, a free drop-in event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The afternoon includes Christmas music, cookies, a visit with Santa and a kids’ craft activity.
Sunday kicks off the first of Home Hardware’s Six Sundays of Christmas, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store is also hosting its Come Home for Christmas shopping event the same day, featuring seasonal treats, giveaways and holiday displays.
For those up for a short drive, an Evening Christmas Market will run Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Land and Cattle on Range Road 41, and Lashburn hosts its own Christmas Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
From carols to craft tables, it’s a weekend packed with early holiday cheer.
