4:45 p.m. – Officials on scene and County of Vermilion River have confirmed multiple fire departments are on scene or responding to the ongoing fire at Inland Steel. Everyone is safe according to company representatives we spoke with.

Crews from, Lloydminster Fire Rescue, Britannia Fire Department, Blackfoot Fire and Rescue, Kitscoty Fire Rescue and Paradise Valley Fire Department have been requested to assist all three stations from Legacy Regional Protective Services. Officials are asking residents to PLEASE AVOID THE AREA and give emergency vehicles space to work.

ORIGINAL: At approximately 3 p.m. today, All three stations of Legacy Regional Protective Services responded to reports of a fire at Inland Steel.

Photos of heavy black smoke were shared with BorderPulse. There is no word on injuries, or severity of the fire.

Emergency Services are enroute from all three fire stations. Please avoid the area if you can. Watch for responding units.
