County of Vermilion Firefighters from five departments, Blackfoot, Marwayne, Paradise Valley, Kitscoty and Islay are battling a structure fire at Nelson Lumber between range road 15 and 20 at this hour.
Nearly a dozen fire apparatus and tens of firefighters are working to bring the blaze under control.
Multiple tankers are making the trip from the scene into Blackfoot to bring water to the scene. Please watch for them.
According to the RCMP the call came in around 9:58 p.m. reporting a fire at Nelson Lumber.
Smoke could be seen from City limits at the time of the call. Visibility on the highway was reduced for a short time.
There is no word on cause, injuries or damage to the structure.
You can expect heavy fire fighting activity in the area for the majority of the day.
