An early morning structure fire kept Lloydminster Fire Rescue on scene of a commercial building for nearly two hours Nov. 12.

Crews were called around 5:15 a.m. Nov. 12 to a reported structure fire in the 5100 block of 65 Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters located the blaze inside the building and quickly brought it under control. Three trucks and a command unit responded.

“It was a quick knock down,” said Assistant Chief Justine Loewan. “There were no injuries.”

Lloydminster Fire Rescue remained on scene for approximately two hours to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and to investigate the cause. No cause has been released.
