Gallery – Lloydminster RCMP detain three after heavy police presence

Lloydminster RCMP units had a section of 39 Street closed east of 48 Avenue while multiple units attended a situation at a residence.

The Border Pulse was alerted by a member of the public to the situation shortly after 10 a.m. Feb. 4.

An RCMP K9 unit, a detective, and both plainclothes and uniformed officers were seen in the area. At least three people were detained in relation to the investigation.

EMS also attended the scene. There is no word on whether anyone was injured or if crews were on standby.

Officials on scene said it is early in the investigation and there is no word on whether charges will be laid in relation to the incident.
