Health Canada and Costco are alerting customers to separate product recalls involving infant formula and a frozen food item sold in Canada.

Infant formula recall

Health Canada has recalled certain lots of Kendamil Whole Milk Infant Formula due to the possible presence of cereulide toxin.

Cereulide is a toxin produced by Bacillus cereus bacteria and can cause nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms.

Parents and caregivers are advised not to use the affected product. Anyone whose child shows symptoms should seek medical advice.

Consumers can find full lot numbers and distribution details through the official federal recall notice.

The product was only sold at Costco in Canada.

Costco is notifying members about a recall involving Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice.

Ajinomoto Foods North America is voluntarily recalling select lots due to the potential presence of glass in the product.

The affected items were purchased between Dec. 3, 2024 and Feb. 20, 2026. Best By dates range from 110825 through 011227.

There have been no confirmed reports of injuries related to the frozen food recall.

Members who purchased the item are asked to check their freezers and return the product to Costco for a full refund.
